if you can wait till then then you can do that...
OR
I can speak to Peter at GSR and get a quote + delivery price...
Like the sound of the group buy option - if you can keep me in the loop that would be great.
Meantime (given that I can be somewhat impatient!) if you could get on to your contact and arrange a supply and delivery quote would much appreciate it.
Cheers

Re: Induction options
Well after much cogitation and deliberation I've finally gone ahead and purchased an induction kit. I've gone with a Green Cotton - same as what freshj1ve has in his. As with all the available options, I'm aware that there are pro's and cons but I'm confident this unit will be more than adequate in terms of delivering throttle response and great tone.
Hope to have it delivered before the end of the week so install this weekend - will post the results.

Re: Induction options
good to see someone taking the plunge. I have been looking around ebay and such but as yet i havent found anything that i would consider buying. lots of junk in the UK, not much in the way of substance.
If anyone see's the simota aero form kit for sale on the net let me know. atleast they looks quality, functionally might be a little different.

Re: Induction options
There's certainly a range of options available not to mention opinions! Quite honestly, the main reason I went with green cotton was that I could source it domestically - that and a referral from someone that's actually using one in their GTi and are quite happy with its performance. I'm pretty hopeful that this will do the job nicely...
Incidentally, spoke to magic today in re to an exhaust... was considering a Devil backbox but after speaking to magic seems for 'a few' extra $ I can get a full cat back custom system hand-crafted by a well regarded engineer... hmmm, now to sneak that by the other half...

Re: Induction options
Preparing to do the install atm - just wondering do I need to remove the standard ducting as per these instructions from 206gti.net as part of the overall process of removing the airbox?

Re: Induction options
There was quite a number of expletives uttered that's for sure... turns out that it is the correct kit but someone had removed some of the components... Paul from AutoParis is sorting out but may have to be ordered in from France which could take a few weeks. So annoying but I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end...
On a brighter note - spoke to Magic this morning and have given him the go ahead to begin making my new exhaust system

Re: Induction options
Just in case anyone was wondering... got the exhaust fitted - it rocks. Green cotton kit was yet another complete and utter delivery failure - annoyed? no... just disappointed...
On a happier note it means I'll be getting Magic to make me a custom one

Re: Induction options
Unfortunately it arrived missing parts. Then had to wait 8 weeks for the missing parts to be replaced. When the missing parts finally arrived they turn out to be the wrong ones.. needless to say by this stage I had lost my sense of humour. Paul is great to deal with, have no problems there, just think he/we got let down by his supplier in France. I'm sure its a fine product should all the parts arrive and with a 180 there are less parts so less chance of it getting screwed up.
You can find out more about Green Cotton here - you may have to learn French though...
However, after spending ALOT of time dicking around with this whole induction thing I honestly think you're best off just getting something fabricated to suit. Cheaper and will do just as good a job in my opinion (hence my now pending project...)
The exhaust is awesome - has made a massive difference to performance and sounds brilliant. I'll eventually get some video of it as soon as I get my hands on a decent video camera. Meantime yeah have some pics...

Definitely worth doing - provides a whole new level of fun!

Re: Induction options
that exhaust looks the goods! i was going to order one from magic but being in WA the freight costs out weight the benefit i rekon. i will get down to a workshop soon to get mine sorted. Just need a break in work.
at the same time might look into getting the shop to make up a induction pipe as well. I am thinking the unifilter Rampod looks like a good choice of filter to bang on the end. http://www.uniflow.com.au/ see the products and then rampods and intakes.
