Just got my New Quaife

Post by DRD180 on Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:57 pm

Here are some pics of the fitting of my new quaife, and some other bits, and removal of junk.

all work was done by Magis on a sunday, so a huge thanks to him and a very good recomendation to his services.

I also had the ecu remapped with very good results. no dyno yet so dont ask power.

hey DRD welcome. good work on the quaife. most people just want to bolt on cold air kits and exhausts so good to see someone go the right way. what did the bill come to if you dont mind me askin. i really want to put it on my list of things to do.

If you are serious about it, Have a chat to Magic from the AF forum. it should cost around $1300 but expect extra with fitting such as shaft seals, bearings and oil (get the best even if its out of your budget). oh and other associated parts that can be done at the same time such as CV boots.

yes I also have the BMC CDA air intake in which the new mapping of the ECU enhances and uses it properly.

there will be more to come soon but when in melb next time I will let you have a drive, hopefully it will be raining so you can appreciate how good the quaife is.

BMC is one of the most respected and proven intake systems on the market, it is great. I will send PM a Link to some video, but note it is after all work done.

price, if that is a worry, get the green cotton, this one sells for $650+.

as i said, if you want quality, you have to pay for it.

2K will be enough, if you can get access to magic on the AF forum, he will be happy to assist.
