Stalk Adapter
Has anyone installed a stalk adapter with their new head unit? Will the dash mounted display still work or does it just give you the stalk controls?

Re: Stalk Adapter
I believe its one like this: Stalk adapter - which is 50 pounds.
Interesting though, just read the summary and it states that the dash display won't work so guess that answers my question.
Thinking I might just get an FM transmitter for an MP3 player and use that and be done with it.

I bought a stalk adaptor off ebay for about 30pounds, and I cant get it to work with my Pioneer DEH-P9800BT head unit. Still trying, but I dunno if it will work with EVERY head unit. Also no the head up display doesn't work for the CD, it still shows the date and time and everything else.

Re: Stalk Adapter
Hey guys,
for the record (if anyone is still wondering):
the following will allow the stalk adaptor to work with a new head unit-
- Autoleads PC99-X44 + relevant patch cable (lots of UK ICE sites have them)
- Connects 2 CTSPG006 + relevant patch cable (same as above, even possible to order from advanced ice in australia i think)
- Alpine APF-S100PS (for Alpine units only, which I just bought)
Some alpine head units support a head-up display connector, but I don't believe any available in Australia have this capability (CDA-9886R (UK) does, but CDA-9886i (Aust.) doesn't as an example) this then requires another different patch cable to connect up.
Cheers,
Jon
